Do you guys think that my TC33D will be able to handle a large round bale if I mount my bale spear on the front bucket?

Unlikely. The 7308 loader isn't the strongest loader around and mounting the bale spears on the bucket makes it that much worse. The new 14LA (?) loader will carry more weight but it requires a new tractor with a beefier front axle. ....

Story from my dealer was that round bales was the reason why my Ford 1710 came to the used market. The tractor just wouldn't handle the bales the PO was getting after starting a small livestock operation so he traded the 1710 in on a farm tractor. I'd say that he didn't do the steering any good before he traded it.
I think TC33's are more similar to 1910's which is a step up from mine but it's still the same issue. The capacity would be marginal and the risk would be that a bale supplier starts supplying bigger bales. The front axles on these Fords really weren't designed for heavy loader work. I don't know if front axles were redesigned for the Ford '20 compact series or for the TC's but it might be good to check if the 33 is going to be used for that kind of work. Of course the question does depend on how big the bales are. Some probably would be within a 33's capability. ....

I think you'd be happier with the results using a 3pth bale spear instead. Not only does the 3pth lift more, it also carries the load closer in and since the rear axle does not pivot like the front one it will be a LOT more stable. That and you will still be able to see where you're going, a bale out front tends to be quite an obstacle to see around on a smaller machine.
